Launching the next generation Cochlear Osia System

Osia - now MRI conditional without magnet removal

Cochlear are excited to announce the launch of the next generation Cochlear Osia System. This system features the OSI300 implant and the Osia 2(I) Sound Processor and offers the ability to have MRI at both 1.5 and 3.0T without magnet removal. The new Osia System retains all the proven benefits of the current system, including excellent hearing outcomes1, ease of use, discreetness and reliability2.

The Osia System offers:

Easier access to MRI at 3.0T
With the introduction of the OSI300 Implant, the Cochlear Osia System becomes the industry’s first and only3 active bone conduction system to enable MRI at 1.5 and 3T, allowing patients to undergo MRI scans without the need for magnet removal4 or headwrap.

Piezo Power™ performance
The Osia System’s design and the Piezo Power transducer’s responsiveness at high frequencies provides optimal performance by delivering high output power and high gain5 where it’s needed most for speech understanding.

A slim, discreet, connected sound processor
The new Osia 2(I) Sound Processor is slim, water resistant* and has interchangeable colours. Compatible with the OSI300 Implant, it has the same performance and connectivity^ as the current Osia 2 Sound Processor.

Visit the Cochlear website for more information.

*The OSI300 implant is MRI conditional at 1.5 T and 3 T with magnet in place. Refer to Osia MRI guidelines for further information.
