It Takes More than Hearing
This conference aims to explore the diverse factors influencing performance outcomes for both children and adults using hearing aids and cochlear implants. We will delve into effective interventions, highlight current research, and provide an overview of resources available to support professionals in optimising care for individuals with hearing impairments.
Keynote Presentations
We are thrilled to announce our keynote speakers:
Amy Stephens is a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist who focuses on Sensory Integration. She was the first SLT to qualify as an Ayres Sensory Integration Advanced Practitioner in the UK. She has been lecturing and mentoring in sensory integration for over two decades and is the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapist's National Clinical Adviser in Sensory Integration.
Dr. Kai Uus is the Audiology and Deafness Group Teaching Lead at the University of Manchester and Programme Director of MSc in Clinical Sciences (Neurosensory Sciences)
She is a qualified paediatrician whose specialist research interests are in the area of paediatric audiology, including Auditory neuropathy spectrum disorder.
